Luke is getting more and more into books lately. He still doesn't have a very long attention span so we rarely actually read the stories but we have a good time pointing out things in the illustrations and letting Luke flip the board pages. Recently Matt has been doing story time before Luke goes to bed. The other night I was cleaning up in the kitchen and listening in on Matt reading to Luke. He was 'reading' the same books that Luke and I had read earlier that day. Funny how the story changes so drastically depending on who is telling it.
When I read the book to Luke it went something like this... "Puppies are soft, puppies are cuddly.... hungry puppies love to eat..." You get the picture. When Matt was reading the very same book it went something like this..."Puppies are nasty and slobbery. Puppies shed and poop and smell.... hungry puppies eat stinky food and make a horrible mess."
It'll be interesting to see which version Luke likes better as he gets older. :)

That's funny... guess we all know who is the animal lover in your family! :)
I think you guys should get a weasel. They eat gophers. You could rent it out to all your friends with gopher problems.
