Ready or not...

I must be in the 'nesting' stage of pregnancy. That, or the anxiety of the fact that there will be a new addition to our family in a few weeks- ready or not- is starting to eat away at me. Maybe its a combination of both, I don't know, but regardless Matt and I have been trying to do what we can at this point to prepare for the baby. We decided on paint colors for the nursery. This is where not knowing the sex of the baby is working to our disadvantage. We settled on a shade of orange and plan to add stripes of blue or pink later depending on if we have a boy or girl. (some of you may have caught on that if we have a boy, his room will be Broncos colors - that is NOT a coincidence)


Matt doesn't look like he's very happy about painting in this picture, but I think I took him by surprise.


It's a good thing Matt likes to paint... and he's good at it.


We got a crib and some other furniture from a good friend at work. Thanks Jen!

We still have to change the knobs on the dresser and may or may not paint them, but you get an idea of what the nursery will eventually look like here. The white/ taped off parts will be either blue or pink.


The next project - I found a glider on craig's list for $10 (I'd pay close to $100 or more for a new one- I LOVE bargains). It was in really good shape, just needed a little TLC. Matt has sanded it here and is going to paint it the same color as the dressers. I'm going to re-cover the cushions and we'll have a custom glider!

I am starting to feel more prepared for the baby now that these projects are getting done (thanks to my wonderful husband - no thanks to me).

This post is pretty much solely baby stuff... but I guess that's just the stage of life we're in at this point. I promise that you won't be so bombarded with baby/pregnancy stuff in future posts - at least until the baby is actually here!
